Turkey Education Volunteers Foundation (TEGV)

When a major earthquake devastated large parts of southeastern Türkiye in February 2023, we provided rapid assistance together with our Turkish country organization: Shortly after the disaster, the first relief supplies were delivered by truck to the affected regions. In the longer term, we are supporting reconstruction with a comprehensive education project. In cooperation with the Turkey Education Volunteers Foundation (TEGV), one of the country’s leading educational organizations, we support children in disaster areas with mobile learning units. These trucks bring education directly to the children. We operate four of these units, equipped with learning modules on computer science, art and creativity.

The four-year sponsorship program aims to give more than 24.000 children access to education and digital learning – and to open up new perspectives for them.
