Emissions from the Use of Sold Products (Scope 3.11)

In addition to emissions from upstream transportation (Scope 3.4), most of our CO₂ emissions arise from Scope 3.11 – that is, from the energy consumed during the use phase of the products we sell. For this reason, we focus on an expanding portfolio of energy-efficient products and work closely with our suppliers to drive their development. Together with suppliers, we have launched initiatives to reduce emissions and have calculated the individual carbon footprint of selected products, in particular those with high sales volumes and emission-intensive production or usage phases.

Furthermore, when our customers use renewable electricity, there are no emissions generated during the use of our products. For this reason, we offer green electricity contracts from external providers in Germany, Spain, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
