MediaMarktSaturn and E.ON open energy experience areas

24.11.2025 - 13:32

As part of its "Space-as-a-Service" initiative, the electronics retailer, together with energy provider E.ON, is opening new Experience Zones in four selected markets. Customers can, for example, learn about complete photovoltaic solutions. Flexible electricity tariffs will also be a focus of future consultations.

MediaMarktSaturn and E.ON are expanding their cooperation with a new offering that brings sustainable energy solutions directly to four stores: From now on, the new experience zones at Saturn in Braunschweig, MediaMarkt Ludwigsburg, MediaMarkt Ludwigshafen, and MediaMarkt Paderborn will be dedicated to the green energy future.

Customers can already benefit from the attractive green electricity and gas tariffs offered by energy provider E.ON in over 400 stores and in the online shops of MediaMarkt and Saturn. Now, the partnership is being further developed: New experience areas are being created in four selected stores as part of the MediaMarktSaturn "Space-as-a-Service" initiative. This initiative creates experiential spaces for customers in the stores, showcasing technology, innovations, and other services. With complex topics like energy solutions and related products, personalized consultation, like the kind now offered in these four stores, is particularly important. This will enable customers to better understand and utilize the advantages and functionalities of the various energy products.

At the E.ON information areas, consumers can learn how to save money and become more independent with more sustainable energy solutions. Experts on site will provide advice on topics such as photovoltaic systems as a complete solution. This includes, for example, the Home Energy Management System (HEMS), which intelligently controls energy flows in the home, as well as battery storage systems that allow for maximum self-consumption of the solar power generated on the roof. The launch of the E.ON information areas in the four markets will also be accompanied by special promotions.

Those interested can also learn more about the existing range of green electricity and natural gas tariffs. A particular highlight is innovative models such as "E.ON Future Electricity," which financially supports regional environmental projects. The topic of demand-side flexibility also plays a major role in the new information areas – this refers to shifting high electricity consumption, such as for electric vehicle charging, to times of abundant green electricity production or low grid load. For example, electric car drivers can obtain specific information in the stores about the flexible "Home & Drive" tariff, which includes an attractive night charging bonus if they have their nighttime charging processes managed automatically and intelligently by E.ON.
