Shaping the future of retail: MediaMarktSaturn presents a full-day program at IFA on September 6th.

IFA, the world's largest and most important tech trade show, is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. As an IFA partner, MediaMarktSaturn will be presenting the program on the Dream Stage in the IFA NEXT Hall on the first day of the show, featuring presentations and panel discussions.

A perfectly complementary partnership: MediaMarktSaturn, Europe's leading retailer of consumer electronics, and IFA, the meeting place for cutting-edge technology and innovations in home electronics, share their passion for technology with customers and visitors from around the world. On opening day, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., MediaMarktSaturn will be presenting the program on the Dream Stage within IFA NEXT, focusing on the future viability of retail.


Since its founding in 1924, IFA has offered its visitors the unique opportunity to admire the latest products and trends and be inspired by technological advancements. The trade fair impressively reflects technological development and demonstrates that progress has never been as rapid as it is today. What role does MediaMarktSaturn play as a retailer in this? How does the company intend to shape the future? The program that MediaMarktSaturn has put together for IFA addresses these and many other questions about the future of retail. Both in-house speakers and invited guests will have their say.



The Program in Detail

One theme that will run like a common thread through the program when it comes to the future of retail is omnichannel, the foundation for constant growth at MediaMarktSaturn. The seamless integration of online and offline channels offers customers the best of both worlds and is the biggest differentiator compared to purely online players.

Brand Evolution: Strong brands are drivers of growth. However, they only develop their full potential when they are aligned with the corporate strategy. MediaMarktSaturn describes its repositioning and, at the same time, its range of services for its customers with the term "Experience Electronics." The driving force behind the MediaMarkt and Saturn brands is that technology becomes an experience. The consistent implementation of the new brand strategy for almost two years now, with its brand purpose, international campaign concept, and highlighting of differentiating services, is putting both brands back on the fast track, step by step. Retail Media: MediaMarktSaturn offers brand manufacturers the opportunity to advertise on the MediaMarkt and Saturn webshops or apps. With 2.2 billion customer contacts, the company is ideally positioned to develop an even more relevant business in this area. Marketplace: The Marketplace is an extension of the webshop, where third-party retailers offer their products.
