The "Mining Shoe" by the Portuguese designer label Leandro Lopes is now available online in the limited MediaMarkt special edition. The integrated NFC chip in the shoe combines the real world with the label's metaverse in a unique way.

The fashion brand Leandro Lopes shows how to enter the digital world of gaming with a real shoe with its "Mining Shoe" and the recently launched Lopes app. Customers of MediaMarktSaturn have the opportunity to experience this fascinating crossover live from the beginning. The exclusively designed sneaker, which is kept in the MediaMarkt colors white and red, stands for a technical experience of a very special kind and therefore fits perfectly with the claim of MediaMarktSaturn to provide unique experiences as an experience champion. The shoe is now available for pre-order online.
Dress up and start running - and not only in the real world, but also in the Metaverse of Leandro Lopes (via the Lopes App, now available for registration for iOS and Android). That's the idea behind the Mining Shoe. The integrated chip not only counts steps in real time and creates individual analyses for optimized workouts, it also transmits the activities wirelessly into the virtual world. The metaverse itself is designed by the players themselves. The focus is on the gamification approach: Whether finding treasures or inviting players to a sporting challenge - the goal is to collect as many points as possible and then exchange them in real life for rewards and rewards, for example for a garment from the collection of Leandro Lopes. Basically, everyone can play, but if you own the "Mining Shoe", you get a special status and fill your points account by just running with your shoe.
