"Wir treffen uns mit den Lieferanten, besprechen mit ihnen gesetzliche Konformitäten, prüfen die Fabriken auf Qualitätsstandards. Wir testen aber auch selbst die Produkte. Das heißt, ein Teil meiner Arbeit ist auch, dass ich tatsächlich in der Küche stehe."
As part of the Quality Management team at Imtron GmbH, Stefan Ploch ensures that products meet the highest standards. He oversees the entire process – from factory inspections to practical product testing.
At the same time, Stefan is working on innovation projects such as our “Smart Manual”: Here, an AI-powered chatbot answers specific questions about nearly 1,900 private label products around the clock. This gives customers an even better shopping experience and tailor-made service.
Stefan’s workday starts early – usually at 6:40 a.m. “I’m a passionate early riser. Since I work a lot with Asia, getting up early just makes sense.”
Stefan came into Quality Management rather by chance.
"I originally wanted to go into logistics and applied for a working student position there. It was already taken – so they offered me a role in Quality Management instead. And that’s how I ended up here."
Stefan's motto is clear: “Those who have stopped improving have stopped being good.” His colleague Monika Reisnauer especially appreciates his expertise.
"I enjoy working with Stefan because he has such an incredible wealth of knowledge that we can all learn from."
Even in his private life, Stefan values planning and precision – especially when it comes to his great passion, traveling. “A typical evening for me consists of travel planning and research. I even look up flight routes just for fun.”
For Stefan, this role is more than just a job.
He says: “I am an Experience Champion because, right after traveling, legal compliance and quality are my greatest passions.”
